Hi all, I went to Southeast Asia for vacation and took a few pictures of some ferns (mostly ornamental ones). I’d be glad if you could help me find out their names. Thanks a lot! Pedro.
Hey, Pedro! Nice plants!
I am not very familiar with these species, but here are my guesses:
[1] Microsorum scolopendria (Burm. f.) Copel., vel aff.
[2 and 3] Asplenium nidus L.
[4] Platycerium sp.
[5] Nephrolepis brownii (Desv.) Hovenkamp & Miyam. [or perhaps N. hirsutula]
[6] Pyrrosia sp.
This is as far as I go with your pictures. I am sure that Michael or one of our friends from Asia will be more helpful.
Abraço

Hi. The Pyrossia looks like P lanceolata.
Thanks, Allan!
Hi Fernando,
No.4 is Platycerium Holttumii
No.5 is Nephrolepis Biserrata
Cheers Cedric
Thank you very much, Cedric. I will ask Pedro Fiaschi to update the names on his post.
Cheers!
Nephrolepis is indeed most likely N. brownii, as Fernando Matos suggested, not N. biserrata.
Pyrrosia is P. lancolata.
