This collection has features intermediate between P. lechleri and P. cordatum. The elongate aerophores match P. lechleri, but the petiole colors match those of P. cordatum. Pending further study, I am applying the name P. lechleri to all plants with elongate aerophores.

Leaves to 2.5 m long. Petioles with elongate aerophores throughout their length. Laminae with 15-20 pinna pairs. Young fiddleheads densely mucilaginous.
