Was wondering if anyone can help with and id, even to genus. This was in Panama. Sorry for the poor id photos. The rhizome was thin and single leaves were a few inches apart. The new growth was bright red. (which I thought was interesting for this type of fern) In situ El Cope, Panama. Thank you
I think it may be Elaphoglossum amygdalifolium. That species has reddish young leaves and is a primary hemiepiphyte (starts life as an epiphyte, then sends roots to the soil). I could be wrong though!
